Vecor Mentioned in Smart Greenhouse Coverage by Food & Beverage Industry News
Vecor Technologies was recently mentioned in Food & Beverage Industry News as one of the industry partners contributing to the Australian Research Council (ARC)–supported Smart Greenhouse research hub (E2Crop Hub) led by RMIT University. This $25 million initiative brings together leading research and industry partners to advance sustainable protected cropping through renewable energy and intelligent greenhouse design.
Our Role in the Smart Greenhouse Hub
As an industry contributor, Vecor Technologies is supporting the project through sodium-ion battery (SIB) energy storage – technology designed to help enable continuous renewable power for greenhouse operations.
These attributes align with the hub’s goals of improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and strengthening resilience in controlled-environment agriculture.
Our SIB platform provides:
Renewable energy storage
Reliable day-night power availability
Scalable design for agricultural systems
These attributes align with the hub’s goals of improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and strengthening resilience in controlled-environment agriculture.
Collaboration Across Australia
The Smart Greenhouse research hub involves a broad network of partners, including:
Advanced Carbon Engineering
Protected Cropping Australia, and other supporting contributors such as Vecor Technologies.
We are proud to be part of a collective effort advancing sustainable agricultural technology in Australia.
